Classic networking (which includes the Network and MacTCP control panels, and the associated system drivers) provides this system with network printing, file sharing, and a foundation for connectivity to servers and services on the Internet. This system can also take advantage of the newer Open Transport networking system; however, you may find that selecting classic networking will improve compatibility with some older networking applications.
